Request an offerGuided trips from a beginners' course to two days of paddling in the Linnansaari and Kolovesi national parks. For a trip on your own you get a kayak and a waterproof map.
Trolling, casting or jigging on national park waters from the guide's boat. Trips are also run for families with children and as accessible trips. In winter the same guide takes you ice fishing.
A scheduled or taxi boat takes you from Oravi to the island. There you find the two-kilometre Linnonpolku trail, the Louhimaa croft and a wood-fired sauna with a jetty straight into Saimaa. Sauna slots are booked by the hour.
Two saunas by the guest harbour, with swimming from the jetty all year round. In winter there is an ice hole by the jetty and you can book the sauna for yourselves. Private sauna yoga on request.
Kayaks, canoes, SUP boards, rowing and motor boats and hiking gear. In winter skates, kicksleds, snowshoes and ice fishing gear. Tell us what you need and for how many days.

A snowmobile pulls the sled from Oravi across the ice to Linnansaari, blankets included. On the island you find the two-kilometre Linnonpolku trail and the Linnavuori viewpoint.

Put on a flotation suit and float in the open water of the Oravi canal with a guide, under the stars when it is dark.
A guided walk through the snowy forest or over the ice by moonlight. Snowshoes are available from our partner's rental.
In May the seals lie on the rocks in the middle of the day; in summer you see them best around sunset. A local guide takes you in a small open boat into Linnansaari National Park and knows which rocks to watch.
Scheduled and themed cruises on Saimaa, including the historic Heinävesi route. The cruises are run by our partner's shipping company.

By the canal in Oravi village. These need no booking; for a group we reserve a restaurant table on request.
Groceries and everyday goods, fish from local fishermen, game and bread from nearby bakeries. Fishing tackle, fuel and gas are sold here too.
Open all year, daily in summer
À la carte with local fish, game and mushrooms, plus pizza on the summer terrace by the canal. A Saimaa breakfast is served on summer mornings. For groups the restaurant opens all year, ask us for an offer.

Summer, from Midsummer to early August, weather permitting
A sheltered harbour in the canal between the Linnansaari and Kolovesi national parks, with electricity, water, septic emptying, fuel, showers and a laundry room.
May to September
The two-kilometre Linnonpolku and the more demanding Rengaspolku up to the Linnavuori viewpoint. The Louhimaa croft shows slash-and-burn farming from the 1930s. The Sammakkoniemi kiosk serves smoked vendace and pan-brewed coffee in summer.
